Tutorial: Weave paper heart card

Hello everyone, I thought I would share with you today a tutorial on how to make this simple weaved paper heart card. It is very easy to make and can be adapted to be used for a wedding or anniversary card.

To make this card, you will need:
6x6 Card blank
Folk Floral paper pack
Xcut heart nesting dies
Folk Floral decoupage pack
Adhesive gems
Adhesive foam squares

Instructions:

1. Cover the 6x6 card blank with the red, green and white dotty paper from the Folk Floral paper pack.

2. Using the largest heart die from the Xcut heart nesting dies, position the heart in the centre of the card and die cut.

3. Cut the floral strip in half (found in the Folk Floral decoupage pack) and attach to the top left and bottom right of the card.

4. Next cut the strips to weave the paper for the heart. Measure 2 13cm x 13cm squares in the 2 chosen paper and cut into 1cm x 13cm strips. Open the card as we need to work on the inside cover. Take the strips in one of the designs and attach to the inside of the card at the top of the heart so they go down the heart vertically. Make sure that the design is face down (so when you look at the front of the card it shows through the heart). Take the other strips in the other design and weave through horizontally (up and over the vertical strips). Once the strips have been weaved, tape around all the edges to secure the paper. Cut a piece of card the same size as the card and attach so this covers the back of the weave on the inside cover. When the card is closed the weave pattern can be seen through the heart.

5. Take the 'You're the best' topper (or another sentiment of your choice) and die cut into a heart (using the 2nd smallest heart from the Xcut heart nesting dies) Attach to the card using foam squares to the bottom right hand corner.

6. Finish the card by adding 4 green adhesive gems (doesn't have to be green, can be any colour you want!) on the top left hand corner.

Thanks for stopping by :)
